The Jacksonville Jaguars and Travon Walker have agreed to a stunning four-year contract extension worth $110 million.

The defensive end – who was selected as the first pick by the Jaguars in the 2022 Draft – finalized the deal on Friday after impressing in his first four years in the NFL.

The deal means that Walker will earn, on average, $27.5 million per year, with $77 million in total guarantees and a further $50 million guaranteed at signing.

At the age of 25, the Jaguars defensive end has piled up 27.5 sacks across his first four seasons in the league.

However, it took a while for Walker to find his feet in the league after only recording 3.5 sacks in his debut season back in 2022.

He slowly picked up his production, however, and in 2023 and 2024 recorded 10.0 and 10.5 sacks respectively.

Walker’s contract extension comes shortly after news that the Jaguars will play in a new venue throughout their 2027 campaign, as the billion-dollar renovations to EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville undergo the final touches.

The Jaguars agreed a temporary, one-year stadium lease with Florida Citrus Sports to play home games in Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

NFL owners rubber-stamped the proposal Tuesday that has been years in the making and essentially a done deal for months.

Owners voted unanimously at the league’s annual meetings in Arizona to allow the team to temporary relocate next year´s home slate during the final stages of a $1.4 billion stadium renovation.

Jacksonville started searching for a home away from home when it unveiled plans for a ‘stadium of the future’ in 2023.

The renovated, state-of-the-art stadium is expected to be complete and ready to be the Jaguars’ permanent home field in time for the 2028 regular season.

The team will still play their 2026 home games at EverBank Stadium, however, it will be at limited capacity due to the construction work.

‘The Jaguars couldn’t ask for a better scenario than Orlando and Camping World Stadium as our temporary home in 2027,’ Jaguars owner Shad Khan said.
