  • Insane prices have been revealed in new social media videos

Sydney Roosters lock Victor Radley and Hawthorn forward Jack Ginnivan might make the sort of money the vast majority of Aussies can only dream of, but they’ve still been left in a state of shock by petrol prices.

Radley, who is yet to play a match this season after being sanctioned over his alleged involvement in a drugs scandal last year, has posted a video to Instagram showing him filling up his Ford Raptor at the bowser.

The Roosters star paid 259.9 cents per litre, with the refill costing him at least $150. Had he completely filled the vehicle’s 80-litre tank he would have paid almost $208.

Radley’s post – which was captioned ‘Blink and it’ll be empty again’ – showed him bursting into laughter when he looked at the receipt for his fuel.

His post has drawn comments from current and former teammates, including Dylan Napa and Mark Nawaqanitawase.

Radley is currently on a deal worth an estimated $700,000 a season.

‘Whole month’s pay there,’ joked former Rooster Eloni Vunakece.

‘Lol,’ added 2018 Roosters premiership winner Napa.

‘Yep well played sir,’ wrote current Bondi boy Nawaqanitawase.

Across the border in Victoria, Jack Ginnivan isn’t faring much better at the bowser.

The Hawthorn star revealed in a separate video posted to TikTok that he paid a whopping $297 to fill up his entire tank of petrol in his Nissan Patrol at 249.9 cents per litre.

‘$300 (or just under)… f**k me. We’re in trouble,’ he said.

Like Radley, Ginnivan’s petrol bill won’t break his bank account, with the 23-year-old set to earn approximately $300,000 this season.

The footy stars’ comments come as Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced a 50 per cent reduction in the fuel excise tax.

That should see fuel prices drop after they exploded across the last few weeks due to the conflict in the Middle East.
