There is little concern in the Dallas Cowboys building that quarterback Dak Prescott is going to be distracted by his personal issues when the new season rolls around.
Prescott and his ex-fiancee Sarah Jane Ramos, the mother of his two children, split in March after hosting a joint bachelor-bachelorette in the Bahamas, allegedly due to Ramos finding Prescott texting other women from an icognito social media account.
The couple were due to get married in early April in a lavish ceremony in Lake Como, Italy but promptly informed guests that the wedding was off.
A nervous onlooker was Prescott’s Cowboys head coach, Brian Schottenheimer, who has revealed this week that he has been supporting his star quarterback through his time of trouble.
‘Dak and I have had a ton of conversations,’ Schottenheimer said, as per Dallas Morning News.
‘He’s in a really good spot. Obviously with what he’s dealing with is incredibly tough. But if anyone can handle it, he can.

‘I try to talk to all the guys. I reach out to most of them. I’m a little bit, a little I guess obsessive, compulsive in that regard in trying to reach out to position groups to check in.’
Prescott has not spoken publicly about his split with Ramos, but his ex-fiancee has posted multiple pictures on social media with their daughters since the split was announced.
She even shared pictures from her bachelorette, before the true story had come out, with the now seemingly-pointed caption: ‘I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends. I love these girls so much.’
Days later, their message to guests announcing the end of their relationship was reported by TMZ.
‘As many of you know, our wedding is currently scheduled to take place in Lake Como, Italy, on Friday April 10, 2026,’ it said. ‘It is with heavy hearts that we privately inform our attendees that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding.
‘We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and we welcome your prayers. Sarah Jane Ramos and Dak Prescott.’
Ramos, 32, also wiped the reference to being a fiancee in her Instagram bio.
The NFL star, also 32, is midway through a four-year, $240million contract with the Cowboys.

The team has failed to make the playoffs in the last two seasons, with owner Jerry Jones desperate to return them to Super Bowl glory.
The new season begins in the first week of September and for the time being, attention is fixed on the NFL Draft at the end of April in Pittsburgh.
The Cowboys hold the 12th and 20th pick in the first round.
