Usha Vance said she was “not a hat lady” when asked if she owned a MAGA cap.

The second lady, who was once a registered Democrat, told NBC News that she and her husband, JD Vance, don’t always see eye to eye on everything, and she is “not his staffer.”

When asked if she owned a hat bearing the “Make America Great Again” political slogan popularized by the Trump administration, Ms Vance said she “doesn’t really own any hats.”

Ms Vance’s Instagram page includes photos of her wearing hats such as a blue baseball cap and a wide-brimmed hat.
