Two cryptic videos were posted to the White House’s X and Instagram accounts on Wednesday, 25 March, with one later deleted.

The deleted video appeared to be filmed on a mobile phone, with text over the footage reading “sound on.” In the video, an unidentified female voice says, “It’s launching soon, right?”

In a second video, which remained online on the official Instagram account as of Thursday morning, a phone notification is heard with an American flag seen.

The White House did not provide any context for the footage, and the Instagram post prompted social media users to speculate whether the account had been “compromised.”
