Dave Portnoy has claimed some of his Barstool Sports crew were involved in a car wreck in the UK after driving on the wrong side of the road.

Portnoy, the founder and owner of Barstool Sports, took to social media on Wednesday to post pictures of the crash and rage at the ‘morons’ involved in the head-on collision.

The scary incident is said to have happened while some Barstool employees and members of Telluride Bush Gaming – an Esports team ‘powered’ by Barstool – were driving to the store.

It is claimed they collided head-on with another car while driving on the right hand side of the road. Vehicles in the UK travel on the left.

Images showed serious damage to the front of the car, while airbags were set off in both the driver and passenger seat.

‘You absolutely can’t make this up,’ Portnoy wrote on X. ‘The most predictable thing ever from the morons @tBushGaming… that’s what I get for paying for these fools to go to London.’

The Barstool founder also posted a screenshot of a text – said to be from the media giant’s corporate lawyer – which read: ‘Sounds like everyone is ok. They hit another car but that driver said she was ok too. And yet it was because they were driving on the wrong side of the road.’

The lawyer also warned that those involved could be subject to ‘a lawsuit for emotional damages or whatever else they drum up’ if they spoke about the crash in viral content.

But that did not stop Portnoy from publicly shaming those employees caught in the crash, which included popular content creator Jersey Jerry.

A screenshot of a text message, said to be from Jersey Jerry to Portnoy, read: ‘We needed water and groceries so we went to go grab them. But before we got to the store we crashed head-on collision.’

Another read: ‘I am very sorry we let you and the company down. I know that means nothing. I’m sorry you have to deal with this now.’
