SELECT programme offers executive development for social enterprise leaders

A new training programme helps social enterprises to strengthen leadership and grow commercial income.

The InterTradeIreland Social Enterprise, Leadership, Economic and Commercialisation Training (SELECT) programme supports social enterprises in Northern Ireland and Ireland to build leadership capability and expand commercial activity.

The programme is for senior leaders in organisations that have been trading for at least 12 months and are involved in manufacturing or providing tradable services

What to expect

The programme offers a structured mix of coaching, mentoring and skills development.

Participants can access

• up to three days of one‑to‑one leadership coaching
• up to five days of specialist business mentoring to support revenue growth and profitability
• a curriculum focused on seven core skills in economics, commerce and leadership
• a governance strategy session for board development
• two residential retreats for peer learning
• access to Chartered Management Institute resources and professional tools

How to apply

To apply for the SELECT programme, complete the online application form.

Applications close at noon on Thursday 26 March 2026.
