- Shocking footage has been uploaded to social media
A trio of Super Rugby players have stunned the footy world after hilariously attempting to use a cassette player in the lead up to the code’s retro round.
Video has been posted to Instagram, showing Highlanders stars Dylan Pledger, Veveni Lasaqa and Josh Craig Bartlett struggle to use the old device.
The footage begins with Pledger attempting to place a cassette tape into the player, with no success.
Lasaqa is then given an opportunity to see if he can use the media device popular in yesteryear, but is unable to work out how to properly utilise it.
Bartlett is the final player to give the item a go, trying to put the cassette in the player in a variety of ways, including turning it sideways and back-to-front.
Pledger then comes back into the fray and, after some verbal guidance in the background, is able to put the cassette in properly, in a moment which earned cheers.

Many Super Rugby fans, at ages which allowed them to see cassette players thrive in their heyday, have since revealed the video had a unique impact on them.
‘I feel attacked,’ one wrote.
‘As a Gen X, that was painful to watch,’ another added.
‘I feel so old,’ one more said.
The Instagram video has since obtained 17,000 views and more than 1,100 comments.
Its publishing comes as the Highlanders prepare for an important match against the Hurricanes in the Super Rugby competition.
The Wellington-based Hurricanes team currently lead the competition.
But the Highlanders are desperate for a win, as they currently sit seventh after five rounds.
