Party guests at a chill backyard bash in Los Angeles nearly dropped their plates when the cook serving up coleslaw turned out to be rock royalty.

Dave Grohl, the Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer, was captured happily working the barbecue and interacting with guests during an unexpected appearance at a pal’s backyard show, according to viral social media footage posted last week.

“It was so fun and Dave was incredibly nice,” one attendee told The Sun. “He even laughed and cut up with us as we were getting food. Truly one of the most unreal things that’s happened to me.”

The bash — held at a pal’s house known for hosting small backyard concerts — had been in the works for years.

“[My friend has] been trying to get this to happen for a few years,” the guest said. “It all fell into place the last couple weeks.”

Footage from the party, which has been viewed 586K times on TikTok, showed the 17-time Grammy Awards winner help pass out the barbecue dish into a bowl for partygoers.

“It was SO good,” the guest raved.

Fans might be surprised, but Grohl’s love of barbecue is almost as legendary as his music.

The rocker, who counts icons like Paul McCartney and Jimmy Page among his pals, has long been obsessed with grilling and smoking meat.

He’s cooked huge meals for charity, including feeding people at Hope the Mission shelters in Los Angeles and serving firefighters battling California wildfires.

Grohl said his barbecue obsession dates back to the early ’90s when Nirvana first started making serious money. He bought a beach house in North Carolina and quickly became hooked on pulled pork.

“I realized, Oh, this is barbecue: so simple, but sublime and complex.”

The backyard appearance also comes after a turbulent year for the rocker’s personal life.

In 2024, Grohl shocked fans when he admitted he had fathered a baby with another woman outside his marriage to Jordyn Blum. The child’s mother was later revealed by The Post to be rock ‘n’ roll fan Jennifer Young.

Despite the scandal, Grohl and Blum — who share three daughters — have patched things up and given giving their marriage another shot.

Meanwhile, the frontman is back doing what he does best: playing loud and living large.

The Foo Fighters are currently tearing across the globe on their “Take Cover Tour,” which kicked off in January and is set to run through early 2027.

But if you’re lucky?

You might just find the rock legend at the grill — handing you a plate of BBQ and a side of slaw.
