You know, the one that goes ‘Ah s***, here we go again’? Yeah, that one.
Well, that’s how the Arsenal players must feel today as the pressure of the Premier League title race returns this evening.
The Gunners extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points a couple of weeks ago, before a nice little break from the competition, in which they took part in the FA Cup and Champions League.
But now the top flight is back, and with that, the stress of a title tussle.
Today Mikel Arteta’s side take on Everton as they look to extend their lead over a struggling Manchester City to 10 points.
While City would have a couple of games in hand, with the first of those against West Ham tonight – which we will be covering for all of you fabulous people – a 10-point gap would make it almost a mountain to climb for Pep Guardiola’s side.
That said, the gap isn’t there yet. I’m sure Everton would love to be the team to slow Arsenal’s title charge down at the Emirates.
