This Morning presenter Nicola Thorp has announced that a member of her family has been diagnosed with cancer.
The actor, who starred in Coronation Street as This Morning star announces family cancer diagnosis: ‘Time stopped’from 2017 to 2019, shared how she felt “time stopped for a while” when her father was diagnosed with bowel cancer, as they “didn’t know which way things were going to go.”
Thorp added that her father’s tumour has since been removed, and he has also had half his large intestine removed via keyhole surgery.
“We know just how lucky we are. Our family sends love to all of you going through the s***storm that is cancer,” Thorp wrote, adding that her father wanted her to share his diagnosis as it may “help someone out there going through something similar.”
