Wirtz on the wing
The return of Florian Wirtz is a major boost for Liverpool tonight.
It’s fair to say that they looked a little lost for ideas without him seven days ago when they succumbed to Wolves at Molineux.
However, Wirtz doesn’t return to the team in his usual position.
It seems like we are going to see the German operate on the left wing tonight, with Cody Gakpo dropping to the bench.
It’s a big call, given that Wirtz only had a short cameo in the FA Cup, but it’s one that the Liverpool fans will be happy with, given Gakpo’s recent performances.
