New York Jets star Breece Hall appears less than happy with his team after taking a bitter swipe at the front office in a social media post on Monday.

The Jets have splashed out an eye-watering $68 million on free agents so far this offseason as they look to launch a desperate rebuild ahead of Aaron Glenn’s second season in charge.

However, instead of welcoming the reinforcements, Hall opted to call the franchise out for not giving him the contract extension he seemingly believes he deserves.

‘Damn we sure got a lot of money in Florham Park all these contracts dudes signing,’ the running back wrote on X on Monday.

Hall’s post comes less than a week after the Jets placed their franchise tag on the 24-year-old star, guaranteeing him $14.29m for 2026 rather than him being able to negotiate a bigger contract.

Hall, who will enter his fifth season with the team in 2026, completed his $9 million rookie contract in New York last season, four years after being selected with the 36th pick in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

The franchise tag also allows the two parties to negotiate a long-term deal this offseason, which Hall is said to be keen on signing, while also preventing him from testing free agency.

ESPN claimed that Hall’s tag is the non-exclusive version, meaning he can still negotiate with other teams and sign an offer sheet. The Jets would have first refusal and receive two first-round draft picks as compensation if they decline to match.

The Jets were forced to use the franchise tag after failing to reach an agreement over a long-term contract before Tuesday’s deadline. They have until July 15 to do so.

Failing that, the $14.29m for Hall to play the 2026 season will immediately count against their salary cap.

Meanwhile, the Jets have made a number of big-money moves, including trading for Minkah Fitzpatrick earlier on Monday.

The Jets traded for the safety from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 2026 seventh-round pick, which was originally the Los Angeles Chargers’.

New York will sign the safety to a three-year, $40 million deal, his agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Jets struck again in free agency on Monday, reaching agreements with linebacker Demario Davis and edge players Joseph Ossai and Kingsley Enagbare, according to ESPN.

Davis reportedly agreed to a two-year, $22 million contract, including $15 million guaranteed with the Jets for his third stint with the franchise.

Meanwhile, New York reportedly agreed to a three-year, $36 million contract with Ossai, including $22.5 million guaranteed. Enagbare’s deal is said to be for one year, worth $10 million.
