UFC icon Daniel Cormier has gone viral online after sharing his bizarre theory about ‘voluptuous’ 17-year-old girls on live TV.
The former heavyweight and light heavyweight champion, who is one of only four fighters to hold UFC titles in two weight classes simultaneously, went off on a strange tangent while working as an analyst on the promotion’s Weigh-In Show.
As he previewed last weekend’s UFC 326 event in Paradise, Nevada with Laura Sanko, Dan Hellie and Chris Weidman, the conversation digressed to what everyone was trying to do when they were 17 years old, before Cormier left his co-hosts stunned.
‘Laura is the idea of what the young high school guy doesn’t get,’ he said. ‘If I could go back, with my first wife, very voluptuous as a 17-year-old… that turns into fat. You get the girl that’s kind of skinny and then she turns into Laura.’
As the rest of the panel burst into laughter, Sanko pushed back on his theory by stressing that she was actually ‘thicc’ in high school.
Cormier then continued: ‘I’m saying, you get the girl that looks like she’s mature beyond her years, what do you think she’s gonna look like in three years? Am I wrong guys?’

Cormier is one of only four fighters in UFC history to hold titles in two weight classes at once
He was eventually cut off by Hellie before admitting that his colleague was most likely ‘gonna save me from myself.’
Cormier was previously married to a woman named Robin, before later tying the knot with current wife Salina in 2017.
The 46-year-old has two children with Salina in son Daniel Jr. and daughter Marquita. Tragically, he also lost a daughter he had with a former girlfriend in a devastating 2003 car accident.
Cormier is one of the most successful UFC fighters in history after becoming heavyweight champion while also holding the light heavyweight title in 2018.
Nevertheless, he is arguably best remembered for his bitter rivalry with fellow great Jon Jones, who won their first bout in 2015 via unanimous decision.
Their rematch two years later, which Jones initially won by knockout, was later overturned to a no contest after he failed a drugs test.
