Donald Trump has claimed that Iran is responsible for an air strike that hit a girls’ school in the Iranian city of Minab and killed at least 150 people.
Neither US nor Israeli officials have publicly taken responsibility for the strike, which analysts and human rights officials believe is the deadliest incident for civilian casualties since conflict began on 28 February.
Speaking to reporters on Air Force One on Saturday (7 March), Mr Trump said: “In my opinion, based on what I’ve seen, that was done by Iran.”
“We think it was done by Iran because they’re very inaccurate, as you know, with their munitions. They have no accuracy whatsoever.” He has not provided any material evidence to support his claim.
