  • Food and drink prices are exorbitant at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas

Many footy fans over in Las Vegas for the NRL’s double header this weekend are enjoying the trip of a lifetime – but they will need deep pockets if they want to kick back with a beer and some fast food while enjoying the greatest game of all.

Daily Mail has done some research – and the results were eye-watering.

Allegiant Stadium, home of the LA Raiders in the NFL – charges $15 for a pint, which converts to $21 per beer.

Now that’s an expensive round!

When it comes to food offerings in Sin City, it is equally grim.

A simple pepperoni slice retails for $13.99, which is close to $20 based on the current Aussie dollar.

In the NRL double header on March 1, Newcastle line up against North Queensland (1.15pm, AEDT), before the Bulldogs tackle the Dragons (3.30pm, AEDT) to kick-start the 2026 season (pictured, the view that awaits footy fans)

Those lucky enough to be sitting in VIP suites should probably think twice about the venue’s famous pizza rock.

That will set punters back a whopping $300, and given it is cut into six different portions, it equates to $50 for a single slice.

And if we once again convert the money, Aussies will have to cough up a staggering $420 for the pizza rock.

The figures are in stark contrast to Sydney’s Allianz Stadium, where footy supporters don’t need to take out a second mortgage to watch their heroes in the flesh while grabbing a feed and cold drink.

At Moore Park, beer prices typically range between $9.30 and $13.50 for the likes of Furphy and XXXX Gold, with premium options such as Stone & Wood slightly more.

And food options are fancy compared to previous years after hospitality group Merivale took over the menu in 2022.

Beef burgers ($14.50), veggie burgers ($17.50) and fried chicken tenders and chips ($18) are reasonably priced, while the iconic stadium hot dog goes for just $5.50.

Come Sunday, all eyes turn to Sin City when Super League champions Hull KR lock horns with the Leeds Rhinos in the opening match of a triple-header at Allegiant Stadium from 11am AEDT.

Newcastle then line up against North Queensland (1.15pm AEDT), before the Bulldogs tackle the Dragons (3.30pm AEDT) to round out the action.
