The contestants on the latest episode of Jeopardy! blew an easy layup question when they were left stumped by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
The Oklahoma City Thunder star was the subject of a clue for $800 under the ‘Jump Through These Hoops’ category.
‘SGA, this guy, won the 2024 to 2025 NBA MVP award, to go along with the scoring title and NBA championship,’ host Ken Jennings read. The question was paired with a picture of Gilgeous-Alexander in action for the Thunder.
However, none of the contestants managed to come up clutch as they stood in silence, looking at the image with a collective blank stare.
After a few moments, Jennings eventually put them out of their misery, revealing the 27-year-old hoops star’s identity.
The contestant’s obliviousness to Gilgeous-Alexander raised eyebrows among viewers back home, given his recent success.
