Emma Raducanu is set to end her eight-year sponsorship deal with Nike to sign with Uniqlo, with the Japanese clothing manufacturer teasing the partnership on social media.

Raducanu signed with Nike at the age of 15, three years before her famous US Open victory in 2021, and has worn their apparel in the biggest tennis tournaments.

However, it is believed that the iconic sportswear brand are making financial cutbacks in the sport, reducing rewards to their player cohort, which includes serial winners Carlos Alcaraz, Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner.

Rumours have been swirling since late 2025 that the 23-year-old was set to part ways with Nike to join Uniqlo, and an announcement of a deal between the two parties seems imminent.

The clothing brand posted a teaser post of the body of a female star – understood to be Raducanu – posing in their latest tennis attire.

The post is accompanied by the caption, ‘We’re proud to welcome a new face to UNIQLO’, hinting at the expected move being confirmed soon.

With the partnership edging ever closer, the World No25 is likely to sport Uniqlo clothing while competing at Indian Wells next week.

Raducanu will become the first female tennis player to be sponsored by the Japanese fashion giant, proving her commercial appeal is still up there alongside the biggest stars in the sport.

Uniqlo have only previously sponsored legends Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, as well as Japanese tennis icon Kei Nishikori, meaning Raducanu is set to join an elite group.

While on the court, Raducanu has been struggling to reach the heights she achieved as a teenager; she continues to thrive off of it.

The proposed deal with Uniqlo is just further evidence of her marketability and adds to the host of big names that she already works with. Dior, Tiffany & Co, and Evian are just some of the major brands the British No1 already has sponsorship deals with.

Raducanu will be hoping her first tournament wearing her new apparel, in California, will bring more joy, after a difficult few weeks due to health issues.

She has been suffering from a chest infection of late, having to retire from the Qatar Open in the first round earlier this month, before being tended to by a doctor on court as she lost to Antonia Ruzic in Dubai a week later.

Raducanu is currently without a full-time coach, after parting ways with Francisco Roig following her early exit at the Australian Open in January.
