Women’s hockey power-couple Caroline Harvey and Daryl Watts have reportedly gone their separate ways before America and Canada’s gold-medal showdown.

Harvey, the 23-year-old defender representing USA at this month’s Milan-Cortina Games, and Canada star Watts, 26, have been linked romantically in recent weeks after being spotted together on multiple occasions.

Yet as both players set their sights on Olympic glory in Italy, rumors of a potential breakup have surfaced on social media ahead of Thursday’s huge battle between their respective countries.

According to The Sporting News, Harvey’s teammate Laila Edwards referred to her as ‘single’ in a recent TikTok video from the Games, suggesting she is no longer in a relationship with Watts.

The pair have never confirmed the romance publicly, nevertheless, meaning it is unclear how serious they ever were if at all.

Harvey is currently leading the Winter Olympics in scoring after registering two goals and seven assists for nine points. She also helped USA claim silver medals at the 2022 Beijing Games.

On Thursday she will lock horns with her now ex-lover, if the rumors are indeed correct, with Watts and Canada looking to end America’s unbeaten streak and capture gold.

‘There is definitely some pressure, of course, because we care and we want to keep that standard alive and be playing great USA hockey,’ Harvey told USA Today ahead of the game.

‘But it’s more enjoyable than anything because it’s just so exciting … You’re playing with the best of the best.’

While Harvey has picked up a medal in the past, Watts is making her debut in this year’s Winter Olympics.

The Toronto Sceptres forward has notched two goals and six assists for a total of eight points so far in the tournament.

In last week’s preliminary round, USA earned a 5-0 victory over bitter rivals Canada.
