The NFL has revealed that Chris Pratt and Jon Bon Jovi will be introducing the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots at the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Pratt, a huge Seattle fan, will welcome the Seahawks to the field at Levi’s Stadium before kickoff, while rock icon Bon Jovi has been given the honor of introducing the Patriots.

The role will see both men given a microphone and be tasked with giving their respective teams a rousing introduction as they run out onto the field in Santa Clara.

Hollywood duo Bradley Cooper and Jon Hamm were given the roles last year when the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans.

However, the NFL’s choice for 2026 has not gone down well with fans on social media with one writing: ‘How far we have fallen’.

Regarding the selection of Marvel star Pratt, one fan wrote: ‘Nooooo Chris’.

Another commented: ‘We don’t want Pratt. Can we get Dave Matthews instead?’

A third said: ‘We, as a nation, have had enough of Chris Pratt. Guy needs to go away for a little while’.

Patriots fans were quick to point out that Bon Jovi is from New Jersey, rather than New England.

‘Bon Jovi is from Jersey, shouldn’t he be a Jets fan?’ one skeptic asked.

Another wrote: ‘Bon Jovi: a Jersey guy who famously tried to buy the Bills. Sure, ok’.

‘Is it too late to switch?’ another unsatisfied Super Bowl viewer replied.

Despite criticism of Bon Jovi’s New Jersey roots, he has always been a loyal Patriots fan and has been spotted with Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick over the years.

The rock icon also attended Tom Brady’s Patriots Hall of Fame induction event.
