Former Vikings star Jack Brewer has sensationally accused the authorities in Minneapolis of protecting ‘demonic… thugs’ and claimed Democrats are only protesting against ICE because agents are ‘deporting their voters.’
Anger has been building in Minnesota after agents from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) moved in on the orders of the Trump administration.
Tension has only intensified after the death of Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old intensive care nurse who was shot and killed after a struggle with federal agents on Saturday. His death came just two weeks after Renee Good was fatally shot in her car by an ICE officer.
Several sports stars have spoken out about the chaos in Minneapolis but former Vikings, Giants, Eagles and Cardinals safety Brewer launched a blistering defense of federal agents.
Minnesota governor Tim Walz has pleaded with Donald Trump to pull ICE out of the region but Brewer wants the president to go even further in his immigration crackdown.
‘Minneapolis is protecting these thugs. It’s unbelievable. These people are demonic. I’ve done work in third-world countries for 25 years. The values are not the same,’ he told Fox News.

‘There is something wrong in Minneapolis. We need a city-wide behavioral health assessment. People have completely lost reality… I hope President Trump sends in the National Guard.
‘We need curfews. We need real consequences for attacking law enforcement. These men and women should be able to do their jobs and go home to their families safely.’
He added: ‘We’re deporting their voters. That’s part of what’s happening, and it’s blowing up their whole plan.’
Brewer – who spoke at the 2020 Republican National Convention – also blasted US immigration policy, claiming people from ‘third-world’ countries do not share American values.

‘You can’t allow people to come into your country who don’t carry the same morals and values that you do. That’s what’s happening,’ Brewer continued.
‘You cannot let people come into the United States who come from cultures like that, because they bring their culture with them. That’s what’s happening.’
Brewer was given the key to the city of Minneapolis by Jacob Frey back in 2018 but he blasted the mayor, accusing him of ‘tap dancing for Somalis.’
‘I wish I could lock the doors on that city and not let him back in if I had the power. What he has done is absolutely ridiculous… he does anything to go against the culture of America and Christianity for them.’
