Terry Bradshaw left Michael Strahan in hysterics with his take on Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold during Fox’s coverage of the NFC Championship game.

Bradshaw, 77, is a legendary NFL quarterback and four-time Super Bowl champion who has been the face of Fox NFL Sunday for more than three decades.

He is a beloved figure but over recent years, Bradshaw has faced calls to retire after a number of high-profile gaffes.

The 77-year made another on Sunday, during halftime of the Seattle Seahawks’ clash with the Los Angeles Rams at Lumen Field.

Fox’s attention turned briefly to the AFC Championship game between the Patriots and Broncos, with host Curt Menefee introducing an interview with New England cornerback Christian Gonzalez after his crucial interception.

But when Fox’s coverage returned to the studio, Bradshaw began a long speech about Seattle Seahawks quarterback Darnold.

He ended by declaring: ‘Sam Darnold is playing great football for Seattle!’ There was then a few seconds of awkward silence before Strahan burst out laughing.

‘Yeah, I mean, he is but we thought we were talking about the first game. But it’s OK.’

The former New York Giants star then attempted to bring the conversation back to the New England Patriots.

Earlier this month, Bradshaw came under fire after botching his analysis of the Green Bay Packers. Jordan Love was taken out of the firing line for their Week 18 game at the Minnesota Vikings because they are already in the playoffs, while his back up Malik Willis was inactive.

That left No 3 quarterback Clayton Tune to make his first start for Green Bay but Bradshaw appeared to have no idea who he was.

‘[The] back up is a guy by the name of Love’, Bradshaw mistakenly said before correcting himself and saying ‘Tune, Tune from the University of Houston. Fifth rounder. I’ve never heard of him.’

One of Bradshaw’s co-stars then interrupted to tell him Tune is ‘the No 3’ on the Packers, to which the 77-year-old asked: ‘Is he? I don’t know what he is. We’ll find out today.’
