Another tough test for Carrick
It’s amazing what a bit of simplicity can do.
None of this back three nonsense. None of this two No10s malarky.
I’m joking, of course. But Michael Carrick has switched things up, gone for a routine 4-2-3-1 and, to be honest, last weekend’s win over local rivals Manchester City was probably the best United have looked in years.
It doesn’t get easier, though. They are away from home today against the best team in the league, and this will be a totally different story. Probably.
Let’s see how they get on.
