The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to hire an offensive-minded head coach to pair with new quarterback Fernando Mendoza, according to reports.
Mendoza is slated to be the first overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft after leading Indiana to its first ever national championship. Brady was in Miami to watch the Hoosiers’ win over the Hurricanes.
The Raiders hold the No 1 pick after a dreadful season under Pete Carroll, who was fired after just one year at the helm.
Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady is a minority owner of Las Vegas and, according to Jordan Schultz, the NFL legend is set to pick the new head coach alongside general manager John Spytek.
Schultz claims that among the frontrunners for the Raiders job are offensive minds Klint Kubiak and Davis Webb.
Kubiak serves as offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks, while Webb is the Broncos’ offensive pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach who has guided the early stages of Bo Nix’s NFL career.

Brady, meanwhile, is also in the second season of his 10-year, $375million deal as Fox’s lead NFL analyst. That has given him a close-up view of Kubiak’s offense in recent weeks, with Sunday’s Seahawks-Rams showdown set to be on Fox, too.
Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter is another coach being linked with the vacancy but, according to Schultz, the Raiders are expected to make an offensive hire.
With Carroll at the helm and Geno Smith under center, Las Vegas finished the 2025 regular season with a dismal record of 3-14.
That is despite the Raiders having some of the most exciting young talents in the NFL including tight end Brock Bowers and running back Ashton Jeanty.
