Dr Linda Yueh CBE

Dr Linda Yueh CBE is Fellow in Economics at St Edmund Hall, University of Oxford, and
Adjunct Professor of Economics at London Business School. She was appointed CBE for Services to Economics.

She is a member of the English Law Promotion Panel, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister and Lord Chancellor, and of the UK Soft Power Council, co-chaired by the Foreign Secretary and the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport. She has previously served as an Adviser to the UK Board of Trade and as a member of the HM Treasury-appointed Independent Review Panel on Ring-Fencing and Proprietary Trading.

Dr Yueh chairs a London Stock Exchange-listed investment company and is a non-executive director of FTSE 100 companies. She also serves on advisory boards and is a trustee of UK and international charitable foundations.

She was previously Executive Chair of the Royal Commonwealth Society. She has also
served as a board member of London & Partners, London’s growth agency, including during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

She previously worked in law and as a business and economics broadcaster.

Remuneration and Governance Code

The Chair of The Royal Parks is not remunerated. This appointment has been made in accordance with the Cabinet Office’s Governance Code on Public Appointments. The appointments process is regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments.

Under the Code, any significant political activity undertaken by an appointee in the last five years must be declared. This is defined as including holding office, public speaking, making a recordable donation, or candidature for election. Dr Yueh has declared no such political activity.

Notes to editors

Dr. Yueh is due to stand as an independent candidate for the role of Alderman of Coleman Street Ward in the City of London in the upcoming February election. This is a civic and elected role within the City of London Corporation and not a political appointment.

DCMS has around 400 regulated Public Appointment roles across 42 Public Bodies including Arts Council England, Theatres Trust, the National Gallery, UK Sport and the Gambling Commission. We encourage applications from talented individuals from all backgrounds and across the whole of the United Kingdom.  To find out more about Public Appointments or to apply visit the HM Government Public Appointments Website.
