Chelsea ace Wesley Fofana now has an incredible 50 points on his licence after he was caught speeding in his £300,000 Rolls Royce.

The £70million centre back, 24, was behind the wheel of his white Rolls Royce Cullinan when he was flashed at 1.30am doing 54mph in a 40mph zone in Twickenham, south west London, last February 27.

The French national – who is already banned from driving for two years – pleaded guilty to one count of speeding in a 40mph zone, his tenth driving conviction in less than a year.

The injury plagued defender, who is believed to be in Portugal, did not appear at Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court today, but was hit with a £1,062 fine and three penalty points.

Just 12 penalty points are needed to get a driving ban in the United Kingdom but Fofana is now on 50.

Kari Williamson, prosecuting, said: ‘The defendant was caught by means of an automatic camera at 1.30am in the morning doing 54mph in a 40mph zone on the A316 Chertsey Road.

Fofana (right) is already banned from driving for two years following several misdemeanours

‘His driving record shows he is disqualified. He is a non-UK licence holder. He is disqualified until May 13, 2027 for an offence of dangerous driving.’

Fofana’s lawyer, Stephen Oldham, told the court: ‘He appeared before the court in May last year. He was disqualified as a totter.

‘The offence on that occasion was dealt with by a two-year disqualification with 47 points.

‘This offence occurred a couple of weeks after the most recent one. He will have to do another driving test before he gets another licence.

‘He earns more than £200,000 a week.’

Fofana, who lives in a £3.5m seven-bed mansion with a cinema and gym near Chelsea’s Cobham base, was slammed by, Magistrate Alan Jefferson for being a ‘habitual offender’.

The magistrate said: ‘We have taken into consideration his income and early guilty plea.

‘His licence record will be endorsed with three penalty points.’

Fofana’s fine comprises a £666 financial penalty, a £266 surcharge, and £130 court costs.

Last October, Fofana was spared jail after pleading guilty to one count of dangerous driving.

Footage showed the star erratically undertaking using the hard shoulder down a motorway in Surrey in his white Lamborghini, branded ‘ridiculous’ by a judge.

He was ordered to complete 300 hours of unpaid community service and left Staines Magistrates’ Court smirking having been ordered to pay just £85 in costs and a £114 surcharge.

District Judge Julie Cooper blasted the star for setting a dangerous example to young fans.

She told him: ‘You obviously realise there are a lot of young people who look up to you and they would like to be like you and follow you. That’s part of the whole gig.

‘However, they will not be able to afford these expensive cars, with all their additions that keep them safe and you could have some 17-year-old, who has just passed their test, who think they can copy you.’

Fofana – who famously struck EastEnders legend Dean Gaffney in the same Lamborghini last year – was also hit with an 18-month ban, though he’s already off the road until May 2027.

Last May, the defender was banned from driving and slapped with 38 points for eight speeding offences in his £300,000 Rolls Royce, his £200,000 Lamborghini Urus, and his £100,000 blue 4.0 litre Audi.

He was handed a £7,569 fine by Lavender JPs for those offences.

The former Leicester City defender won the 2021 FA Cup with the Foxes.

He joined Stamford Bridge in 2022 on a seven-year £70million deal but has since suffered from an ACL injury and later a torn hamstring that required surgery.

The £200k-a-week ace centre back has only made ten Premier League appearances for Chelsea this season.

The court also heard Fofana was disqualified for six months in January 2023 for speeding offences.
