Wolves are braced for offers for Jorgen Strand Larsen in the coming days with Nottingham Forest showing strong interest in their out-of-form striker.

The Molineux club are open to player sales this month if it allows Rob Edwards to reshape his squad and Strand Larsen has attracted interest from several clubs.

Despite a poor campaign so far, Strand Larsen impressed last term, scoring 14 goals in his first season in English football.

Wolves rejected bids from Newcastle worth up to £60m last summer as they arrived too close to the end of the transfer window for them to find a replacement. Privately, the club accept they are unlikely to receive offers of that level this winter.

In recent matches, Strand Larsen has been left out of the starting XI as Rob Edwards gives Tolu Arokodare a run in the starting XI, with youngster Mateus Mane also handed an opportunity to shine.

Strand Larsen was targeted by home supporters as Wolves went 19 matches without a league win and there is a feeling that a change of scene might be the best solution for all parties.

Brazilian midfielders Andre and Joao Gomes also have suitors in England and overseas, with Crystal Palace following Gomes closely and clubs in his homeland keeping tabs on Andre. It is unlikely both will be sold, though, and if Wolves somehow string together a sequence of wins that brings them back into the fight for survival, they may yet choose to retain them.

Wolves also need to increase their quota of homegrown players and will prioritise that this window, as well as signing players who could spearhead a promotion bid from the Championship next term.

The funds from selling Strand Larsen could help in both those matters.
