Tom Brady left NFL fans baffled by what seemed to be a rogue fashion statement while calling the huge showdown between Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills on Fox.
Millions of fans watching the game of the day from home spotted that the legendary quarterback was only wearing one glove in the commentary booth at Highmark Stadium.
It wasn’t immediately clear why. It was 43 degrees ad poruing with rain in the stadium in Buffalo, a venue that has seen much harsher conditions at this time of year in seasons gone by.
Inevitably, the 48-year-old was mercilessly ripped by fans on social media – many of whom compared him to Michael Jackson, who famously wore one silver glove during his performing career.
‘How Tom Brady thinks he’s moving wearing one leather glove,’ one fan amusingly posted on X alongside a video of Jackson dancing.
‘Tom Brady only wearing one glove like Michael Jackson, except his glove is black. As Michael said, it don’t matter if it’s black or white,’ another viewer joked.

Bizarrely, during the broadcast Brady was even asked by Kevin Burtkhardt about playes wearing different gloves on the sideline between drives to keep their hands warm and dry.
But he wasn’t questioned about his own attire during the brief segment at the start of the third quarter.
‘Still trying to figure out the Tom Brady one glove thing. Too hard to write notes with it on?’ another fan questioned.
ESPN reporter Jenna Laine appeared to come to Brady’s rescue, though, by suggesting it’s far easier to use a tablet without wearing a glove.
‘Has Tom done a ‘one glove in the booth’ thing before? I apologize if this is not new…is it so he can better utilize a tablet with his right hand?’ she wrote, before dropping in her own pictures of Michael Jackson, adding: ‘Who wore the one glove better?’
Others joked that it was another sign that the seven-time Super Bowl winner is desperate to get back onto the field and unretire once again.
‘Tom Brady rocking the one glove look in the booth. You can’t take the QB out of the broadcaster,’ an oberserver joked on X, while another said: ‘Why is Tom Brady wearing just 1 glove? Is he expecting to throw a few?’
Perhaps the least flattering comparisons came with fans comparing Brady to OJ Simpson, who infamously struggled to get the black gloves involved in a murder onto his hands during the trial where he was eventually acquitted.

Brady is in the second season in a 10-year, $375million deal with Fox to be an NFL analyst.
After a difficult start last year, he has mostly won over new admirers this time around with the insight he has offered from the commentary booth.
Brady is also a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, who look set to finish the season with the worst record in the NFL and claim the first pick of the 2026 Draft.
They were losing badly to the New York Giants at the same time Brady was calling the game between the two Super Bowl contenders in Buffalo.
The Giants went into the game with the same 2-13 record as the Raiders but led 26-10 at the end of the third quarter.
