After hearing Smith was back in Queensland, comedian Mick Molloy labelled the footy star a ‘toolie’, pointing to the nickname given to older adults who hang around during Schoolies.
The light-hearted conversation on Triple M then took a wild turn after Riewoldt stated Smith had sent him a private message on Instagram.
‘All I know is… Bailey Smith dropped into my DMs,’ the St Kilda legend began.
‘I had a message from Bazlenka (Smith’s Instagram handle) and thought, what do we have here?
‘I opened it up and it was a photo of Bailey Smith with my mum!
‘Does that make Mum a “moolie” given Bailey is a toolie?
‘It turned out to be very wholesome… as it turns out, Mum actually taught Bailey at school.
‘He spotted her at the airport and said hello before posing for a photo which he sent to me on Instagram.’
Molloy then joked that Riewoldt should urge Smith to ‘get his paws off my mum’.
