The boos are back at Manchester United, but this time the players won’t mind a bit.

Several Premier League stars have been getting into the spirit of Halloween by dressing up in spooky costumes — and the Red Devils are no exception.

United, who travel to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, endured a scary run of form at the start of the season but have since managed to turn the tide under Ruben Amorim, triumphing over Sunderland, Liverpool and Brighton to climb to sixth in the Premier League table.

While gearing up for the clash at the City Ground, two United stars enjoyed the festivities by dressing up with their families, almost appearing unrecognisable in photographs on social media.

Red Devils captain Bruno Fernandes and his wife Ana Pinho shared a creepy video to social media on Friday night, with the caption: ‘Here to collect your soul’.

Dressing up as grim reapers, the Fernandes family were equipped with black hooded cloaks, skeleton masks and scythes in the viral video post, which has chalked up over 75,000 likes on Instagram at the time of writing.

Meanwhile, his midfield team-mate Casemiro also dived head first into the festive fun.

The Brazilian and his wife Anna Mariana dressed up as characters Damon Torrance and Winter Ashby from the novel Kill Switch, the third book in Penelope Douglas’ series Devil’s Night.

In a post shared to his Instagram page, captioned ‘Happy Halloween’, Casemiro was dressed in black from head to toe and wore Damon’s trademark mask from the book.

Anna posed alongside the Real Madrid legend dressed as Winter while their children Sara and Caio suited up as Harley Quinn and Ironman respectively.

Across the other side of Manchester, City forward Erling Haaland, who has been in frightening form so far this season with 15 goals from 12 appearances in all competitions, attempted to spook the public by dressing up as The Joker from the Batman universe.

He showed off the terrifying look with girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen in a video on his new YouTube channel titled, ‘I went undercover as The Joker in the streets of Manchester’.
