Ibrahima Seck, 14, was stabbed as he was on his way to play football in June

A Manchester teenager who was stabbed identified his alleged murderer before he died, a jury heard.

Ibrahima Seck, 14, was attacked on his way to play football with friends in New Moston on 8 June. He later died in hospital having suffered a single stab wound to the heart.

Three teenage boys, who cannot be named because of their age, deny murder – one of them, Boy A, aged 14, allegedly stabbed Ibrahima while the other two, aged 14 and 16, allegedly helped and encouraged Boy A.

Prosecutor Jaime Hamilton KC, told Manchester Crown Court that after Ibrahima was stabbed, he ran and knocked on the door of a nearby house asking for help and instantly named Boy A as the person who had stabbed him.

The jury were told the occupants of the house helped Ibrahima as best they could and called an ambulance and the police.

Mr Hamilton KC said while the occupants were assisting Ibrahima, the three defendants approached.

“Ibrahima identified them as his attackers,” Mr Hamilton KC said.

At that time, he was receiving assistance from the occupiers of the house. It would have been plain to those three that he was injured,” he told the court.

‘Injury to finger’

It has also been claimed that Boy A, who allegedly stabbed Ibrahima, posted a video on Snapchat in the minutes after the attack in which he said: “Man got done by the flick.”

The prosecution says the video shows a fresh injury to the person’s finger and that Boy A had a similar injury at the police station later.

The court also heard that there had been “bad feeling” between two sets of friends in the days and weeks leading up to the incident.

One group was Ibrahima, his family and friends. The other included one of the defendants, the court was told.

Mr Hamilton KC said the bad feeling explains why the violence escalated when the two groups met.

Mr Hamilton KC then played the jury a video, which showed two of the defendants, Boys B and C, staring at the Seck family home in April, months before the stabbing. He told the court the pair “were not there for the purposes of a friendly social call”.

This comes after prosecutors alleged on Wednesday that Boy A filmed himself saying “we just done a murder” before turning the camera round to show one of the other teenagers.

Two women, accused of removing two of the defendants from the scene, have denied assisting the alleged offenders.

Manchester Crown Court also heard allegations the women tried to limit evidence available to the police and deleted information from their phones.

The trial continues.
