Geograph/ThompsonA 15-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after he was stabbed in the leg, police have said.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) were called to Woodlands Road, close to the Abraham Moss tram stop in the Cheetham Hill area of Manchester at about 16:10 GMT.
Police said the scene had been cordoned off, with Sgt Anthony Dickinson adding: “You will notice an increase in officers in the area as they continue to conduct enquiries and offer community reassurance.”
GMP has put a Section 60 order in place until 10:00 GMT on Wednesday, giving officers additional powers to stop and search people in the area.
