As talks over his potential boxing return continue to circulate, Mike Tyson appeared as calm as ever as he enjoyed a night out in Los Angeles on Monday.

Tyson, 59, was spotted in the streets of LA alongside his entourage as he stepped out for a night on the strip in jeans, a colorful button-up shirt and white sneakers.

However, the most notable aspect of his appearance was the joint which he smoked and the bag of popcorn which he carried with him as he went.

The boxing icon appeared fully focused on his accessories, as he swapped between the joint and the popcorn while he walked down the street.

Tyson had been a guest on the Jimmy Kimmel show earlier that night and was pictured arriving at the studios in a casual, all-black outfit – before changing later on.

The boxing icon remained in the same outfit that he wore on the late-night talk show as he strutted about the streets of LA.

His public sighting comes nearly a year to the day after his exhibition bout against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, which Tyson lost.

In an eight-round bout, ‘Iron Mike’ was hardly able to lay a finger on the YouTuber as he lost by unanimous decision.

It’s been a cause for concern among Tyson fans in recent weeks following the announcement that he and Floyd Mayweather are in talks for a fight.

As reported by TMZ, contracts have been signed for Tyson and Mayweather to stage an exhibition next year – and fans already expressed their fears for Tyson’s health.

Mayweather is 48 himself – and will be 49 by the time he steps back in the ring – though he is still in incredible shape and of course holds a 50-0 professional record in his glittering career.

Even Tyson himself expressed shock at the fight going ahead – but said it was Floyd, not him, who was in danger.

‘This fight is something neither the world nor I ever thought would or could happen,’ Tyson told TMZ in a statement.

‘However, boxing has entered a new era of the unpredictable – and this fight is as unpredictable as it gets.

‘I still can’t believe Floyd wants to really do this. It’s going to be detrimental to his health, but he wants to do it, so it’s signed and it’s happening!’

Meanwhile, Tyson is now advocating for the national legalization of marijuana and has made an impassioned plea to Donald Trump to make it happen.

Marijuana consumption is completely legal for both recreational and medicinal use in 25 of the 50 American states – while only Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Wyoming still have it completely illegal across the board.

Tyson recently appeared on ‘Fox & Friends’ to make his case for legalizing the drug.

He appeared on behalf of the ‘Coalition of Athletes and Entertainers Supporting President Trump’s Policy Objectives’ – a group including basketball stars Kevin Durant and Allen Iverson, boxer Roy Jones Jr, and former NFL stars Dez Bryant, Antonio Brown, and Ricky Williams.

‘This is something they wanted to do for so many years, but didn’t know how to go about doing it,’ Tyson said on the show. ‘And I was just blessed enough to have the perfect team for this genre of sports… medicine.’

Tyson also added that the group is receiving help from The Weldon Project – a group which, according to their website, is ‘dedicated to funding social change and financial aid for those who are still serving prison time for cannabis-related offenses.’

‘I’m just so happy to be a part of this and be a part with other athletes, not knowing that they were really with this whole situation in making cannabis legal. I never knew other athletes wanted that as well,’ Tyson added.
