Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was heard using language that was a bit too hot for the microphone in his attempt to confuse the Las Vegas Raiders.

In the first half of the game against the division rivals, Mahomes was facing a 4th & 1 situation while up 7-0.

Mahomes tried to use a ‘hard count’ to get the Raiders defensive line to jump offsides before the Chiefs could run a play.

After two attempts failed, Mahomes stood up and then turned to the sidelines to yell to the coaches.

‘This f***in never f***in works, man,’ Mahomes said clearly enough to be heard on the CBS broadcast.

The curse words got a laugh out of color commentator Tony Romo, who then offered up a half-hearted ‘Sorry’.

It was all a ruse. Typically, in a hard count situation, there isn’t a play designed and teams call timeout.

Instead, Mahomes got the snap off and handed the ball to running back Kareem Hunt who gained three yards and the first down.

Fans laughed at the attempt from Mahomes, but noted that his move to try and get the Raiders to jump was fruitless.

‘Absolutely nobody on the field even shifted their stance, nobody was fooled dawg,’ said one user on X.

Another said ‘lmfao Andy Reid needs to be stopped.’

‘Everyone on the planet knew he was snapping that ball lmfao,’ said another user.

Hunt’s rush was crucial as it kept the drive alive and the Chiefs would turn it into a 17 play, 84 yard touchdown drive to go up 14-0.

Kansas City currently leads the Raiders 31-0.
