There is concern within the Los Angeles Rams organization over the extent of Puka Nacua’s ankle injury.

Nacua was forced out of the Rams’ 17-3 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday after landing awkwardly in the end zone when he failed to take a catch from his quarterback, Matthew Stafford.

He tangled with Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey in mid-air before crashing to the ground and rolling in discomfort.

Head coach Sean McVay, speaking after the game, said he thinks his star wide receiver could miss next weekend’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. The team is assessing the extent of the issue.

After the trip across the pond, the Rams have a bye week which could allow Nacua time to regroup before returning to NFL action on November 2 against New Orleans Saints.

Nacua looked in pain as he landed and got up slowly, hobbled for a few steps and went down again before being helped to the locker room during the second quarter.

The 24-year-old managed to return in the third but did not recapture top form, finishing the game with just two receptions for 28 yards.

Last weekend, Nacua became the first NFL player with at least 50 catches through the first five games of a season. He led the league with 52 receptions for 588 yards entering Sunday’s game.

Sunday’s victory moves the Rams to 4-1 for the season.
