Shropshire Council invites everyone in Shropshire—town councils, schools, businesses, charities, and individuals—to join our “Shropshire Speaks Up” campaign in support of White Ribbon Day 2025  aimed at preventing gender-based violence.

Shropshire Speaks Up

There are plenty of activities for people to join in with and show their support  including:

 Light up buildings white

Buildings and landmarks across Shropshire are invited to light up in white from dusk on 25 November. If they are unable to do so, they are invited to display a poster in their windows in support of white ribbon day and the Shropshire Speaks Up campaign.

More details and a copy of the poster are here.

Shropshire Speaks Up Walk

Inviting people to walk in their community at 11am on White Ribbon Day (at the same time as Shropshire Council colleagues walk), or at a time that suits them, to show their support.

For the walk click here.

Shropshire Council is only responsible for their staff walk and the council’s Risk Assessment is provided for guidance only here.

Video Campaigns

Local sports clubs, football teams, and schools are invited to record short videos supporting the White Ribbon message.

For football clubs click here.

For schools click here.

For sports clubs click here.

The more people involved, the greater Shropshire Council’s impact. Invite your friends, colleagues, and local groups to take part—together, our voices are stronger.
