Female college football reporter gets brutally wiped out on sideline as sickening footage goes viral

ESPN reporter Tori Petry was brutally wiped out while on the sidelines of a college football game on Saturday afternoon.

Petry was on duty as Baylor faced visiting Kansas State in a Big 12 matchup in Waco, which the home side won 35-34 following a dramatic fourth quarter comeback.

However, after the game, fans weren’t talking about the impressive run that Baylor went on in the last 15 minutes and, rather, delved into Petry’s painful hit.

During the second quarter, Kansas QB Avery Johnson was rushing forwards before getting pushed out of bounds by Baylor’s Kyland Reed.

Given how quick he was going, Johnson couldn’t slow down and, unfortunately for Petry, smashed right into the ESPN sideline reporter.

Petry was sent flying by the impact. Players, including Johnson, and coaches quickly went over to check on her.

Petry primarily reports on the Big 12 conference on Big 12 on ESPN+.

However, remarkably, Petry was able to dust herself off and get back to her feet just moments later. She’s yet to comment on the situation.

Petry’s first role in sports came back in 2014 when she joined the Detroit Lions as a multimedia journalist. She remained there until May 2021 before joining ESPN.

She primarily reports on the Big 12 conference on Big 12 on ESPN+.

In other college football madness on Saturday, fans claimed that Bill Belichick is ‘tarnishing his legacy’ after his North Carolina tenure went from bad-to-worse.

The Tar Heels were destroyed by the Clemson Tigers in Belichick’s fifth game in charge and found themselves 35-3 down at half-time in-front of their home crowd.

For some fans, that proved to be enough. ESPN’s broadcast cameras caught the moment when hundreds of UNC fans flooded for the exits before half-time.

And, in fairness to those that left, they didn’t miss much. After the break, a total of 10 points were scored in the game, which finished 38-10 in Clemson’s favor.
