That land forming
60sq.m sited to the rear of 44 Fore Street, Torquay, TQ1 4LX be
sold as set out in Exempt Appendix 1.
Reasons for the decision:
Terms of disposal have
been agreed in principle with between the Council and the purchaser
on commercially acceptable terms.
Alternative options considered:
The Council may choose
not to dispose of this asset, however the use of the land offers no
use to the Council and the Council would remain liable for the
maintenance of the land, therefore there is no reason to
object.
Implementation:
This decision will be
implemented immediately.
Information:
That the Director of
Finance, in consultation with the Strategic Head of Asset
Management, be authorised to grant the disposal of land forming 60sq.m. sited to the
rear of 44 Fore Street, Torquay, TQ1 4LX by way of private sale
for the amount set out in Exempt Appendix 1.
The disposal
constitutes a small parcel of land sited to the rear of 44 Fore
Street, Torquay, TQ1 4LX off St. Dominics Close, Torquay with the
land consisting of a grassed verge and rights of access from the
public highway to 44 Fore Street. The terms of the transfer of the
site will be subject to any restrictions placed upon the land as
part of the planning application P/2024/0432 and form no nuisance
or annoyance to neighbouring land users.
