Shaquille O’Neal has dismissed claims he is dating OnlyFans star Sophie Rain while issuing a savage response to an influencer who mocked him over the bizarre rumor.
Rain, 21, stunned fans last week when she posted a picture of herself sat on the lap of the 53-year-old basketball legend, which was captured as she celebrated her birthday on a night out in Las Vegas.
After the photo went viral, internet sleuths quickly began to speculate about a potential romance between the adult content creator – who recently boasted that she makes $4million per month on OnlyFans – and Shaq despite the huge age gap between them.
One user who fueled the online gossip was influencer Noeh Glenn Carter, who shared a video to his 312,000 followers about the rumors linking Rain and O’Neal.
In the clip, Carter said the 32-year-old age difference between the pair means talk of a romance leaves a ‘little uncomfy feeling, especially when he’s a 53-year-old showing up to a 21-year-old’s birthday.’
But it didn’t take long for Shaq to fire back at those remarks and shoot down the rumor about Rain. ‘I don’t [date] that young but I will date your mom and give u a brother,’ he brutally replied to Carter.

He then added: ‘I was djing at encore beach club she came to my party dummy stop tryna create rumors don’t make me slap you dude’.
‘Now Shaq, I really don’t want you to slap me because you would obliterate me,’ Carter responded in a follow-up video about his beef with the NBA great. ‘I’m not even gonna try and pretend like you wouldn’t.
‘I apologize Shaq. I don’t want that smoke.’
Carter also shared a video of his mom reacting to the comment and ultimately laughing off Shaq’s advances.
As well as the picture that went viral, Rain posted a separate video of herself behind the decks with Shaq, who moonlights as a DJ and was performing on the night in Sin City.
The OnlyFans model recently sparked controversy after revealing her mammoth earnings from the online platform – higher than most professional sports stars in America.
In a new podcast interview with fellow OnlyFans star Camilla Araujo, Rain revealed she was making a whopping $4m per month at the end of 2024.
She then posted a screenshot of her earnings to X, showing that she had brought home $43.4million in the last year.

Mavs star Luka Doncic is also behind Rain at just over $43million in total cash for last season, while Anthony Edwards made $42.1million.
Fans hit out at Rain’s reveal in response to an X post, writing: ‘This is so f*****g sad and pathetic.’
‘Paying for her onlyfans is seriously dumb asf, you’re making her rich while gaining low attention span and brainrot,’ another added.
