Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Whitchurch Road in Shrewsbury – at the junction adjacent to Morrisons – from Monday 20 to Friday 24 October, for work related to a new Costa Coffee.
National Grid needs to install a new electrical connection for the Costa, which is due to open next to Morrisons. They will carry out excavations within the road and footpath.
While the temporary traffic lights are in place the permanent signals will be switched off.
Severn Trent Water will also be carrying out the water connection for the Costa Coffee store at the same time, to avoid any further disruption at a later date.
We have asked National Grid to notify residents and affected businesses, including Morrisons.
