Kentucky football player Jamarion Wilcox has been arrested for alleged sexual abuse, it has been reported.
Wilcox, a redshirt sophomore running back, was suspended for unspecified reasons over the summer, with head coach Mark Stoops saying in August that he had violated team rules.
Now, the player’s alleged crimes have been revealed, as police have accused him of sneaking into a victim’s bed without their permission while they slept.
According to a criminal complaint cited by WKYT, Wilcox entered the victim’s bed on August 20 around 1am without a shirt on, and put his arm across them.
The victim then woke up, and Wilcox allegedly put his hand on their thigh before telling them to open their legs.
According to the complaint from Lexington Police Department, Wilcox allegedly continued making an unwanted sexual advance on the victim.

Wilcox was arrested on Friday, charged with first-degree sexual abuse and taken to the Fayette County Detention Center.
He was later released on $5,000 bond, while a judge reportedly granted an emergency protective order as well.
According to LEX18, detectives had been investigating the case for more than a month prior to the arrest.
A Kentucky spokesperson acknowledged the player’s arrest and confirmed he would not be involved for the Wildcats’ matchup against South Carolina this weekend.
‘We are aware of the situation with Jamarion and will continue to gather information and monitor the situation closely. He will continue to be withheld from competition and will not travel to South Carolina.’
Wilcox played a significant role for Kentucky last year in his first season of action.
In 12 games (four starts), he rushed for 590 yards and two touchdowns, adding seven catches and 24 receiving yards through the air.
Furthermore, Wilcox was the Wildcats’ leading rusher in the final four games.
Kentucky was 2-1 heading into its matchup against South Carolina.
