Richmond champion Dustin Martin has officially stepped into a new chapter of life after football, putting his luxury Port Melbourne apartment on the market while also embracing a fresh role away from the game.

The three-time premiership hero, who retired in August 2024 after 15 decorated seasons and 300 games with the Tigers, is now looking to offload the beachfront property he bought just three years ago.

The high-end apartment, purchased in 2021 for $1.7million in an off-market deal, has been listed with an estimated price guide of $1.8 to $1.9million.

It offers the chance for buyers to secure one of Port Melbourne’s most enviable addresses, with uninterrupted views stretching across Port Phillip Bay.

Spread across two bedrooms and two bathrooms, the property has been designed to showcase open, modern living.

The apartment features a central living and dining area that spills onto a sweeping terrace overlooking the water, while the open-plan kitchen boasts marble benchtops, a statement island bench, premium European appliances, and clever storage throughout.

The master suite includes a walk-in robe and a full marble ensuite, with direct access to the terrace that frames the stunning bay views.

Two secure car parks add further appeal to the listing, which is being offered via expressions of interest rather than a traditional auction campaign.

Given its location and level of finish, the property is expected to draw significant attention from Melbourne’s luxury buyers.

Since stepping away from football, Martin has deliberately kept a low profile, preferring to spend his time away from the glare of the AFL spotlight.

His career was one of the most successful of the modern era, featuring three premierships, three Norm Smith Medals as best-on-ground in grand finals, and the 2017 Brownlow Medal.

For Richmond fans, he will forever be remembered as the ultimate ‘Mr September,’ delivering match-winning performances on the biggest stage.

While he is moving on from one luxury address, Martin is also moving into an entirely different arena.

On September 20, he was officially unveiled as the newest ambassador for Cavalo Prestige, a luxury car dealership based in Melbourne’s Docklands.

Photos of Martin behind the wheel of a high-performance vehicle quickly spread online as the partnership was announced.

Cavalo Prestige confirmed the deal in a glowing social media post that paid tribute to his career.

‘For the legendary @dustinlmartin peak performance is in his DNA,’ the post read.

‘With a career spanning 15 seasons, 3 premiership wins, 3 Norm Smith Medals and a Brownlow, Dusty is an absolute GOAT of the game.

‘It was a pleasure to show Mr September himself around the showroom this morning, and we’re very excited to welcome Dusty on board as the newest #cavaloprestige ambassador.’
