England’s kits for the 2026 FIFA World Cup have reportedly been leaked, with the Football Association seemingly opting for a safe design following the controversy over their Euro 2024 attire.

Leaked images were shared online by the website Footy Headlines which are claimed to be the designs for the England kits for next summer’s tournament.

The home kit will maintain the Three Lions’ classic white shirt with claims it will also feature ‘modern touches’.

This reportedly includes a jacquard pattern, which will display both a lion and stars.

Red inserts are expected to be featured on the design, complete with a navy outline.

Typical features will include the one star denoting England’s 1966 World Cup triumph, which will be placed above the badge.

According to the leaked images, the kit would feature red inserts to the traditional white design and feature 'Happy and Glorious' on the collar in a nod to the national anthem

The collar will reportedly feature the words ‘Happy and Glorious’ in a reference to the national anthem.

Should the leaked images prove accurate, the designs would likely avoid the controversy that surrounded England’s kit for the 2024 European Championships.

Nike, England’s kit provider, had angered a section of supporters after making a ‘playful update’ to St. George’s Cross.

The update had seen the traditional red cross with a navy blue, light blue and pink one.

Amid a backlash against the change, Sir Keir Starmer – then opposition leader – had been among those to call for the design to be changed back.

‘The flag’s unifying, it doesn’t need to change,’ Starmer said at the time. ‘We just need to be proud of it. So I think they should just reconsider this and change it back.’

The controversy led to England’s red away kit outselling the home strip for the first time, according to some retailers.

Designs are yet to be confirmed for the away kit for next year’s tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico, but England are expected to return to their traditional red strip.

The design would likely avoid the controversy that surrounded the Euro 2024 shirt, which had seen manufacturers Nike make a 'playful update' to the St George's Cross

The Three Lions had worn a blue away kit for Euro 2024.

England are closing in on qualification for the World Cup having moved seven points clear at the top of their qualification group.

Official details on England’s kits are likely to be released later this year, after Thomas Tuchel’s men seal qualification for the World Cup.

The kits are expected to go on sale next year in the build-up to the tournament.
