New Cowboys signing Jadeveon Clowney was arrested before joining the team this week, it has been reported.

The veteran linebacker signed with the team on Monday, bolstering the team’s pass rush following the trade of Micah Parsons to the Packers.

However, three days before, Clowney was arrested in York County, South Carolina for allegedly trying to park in a closed lot.

According to police reports cited by WSOCTV.com, Clowney was informed that he was not allowed to park in the space before deciding to do so anyway.

He was charged with trespassing and failure to identify, both of which are misdemeanors.

Clowney is a native of Rock Hill, SC and played collegiately for the University of South Carolina before being drafted No. 1 overall in 2014 by the Texans.

He spent five seasons in Houston and racked up three Pro Bowl appearances there before moving on to stints with the Seahawks, Titans, Browns, Ravens and Panthers.

Clowney had a productive season last year in Carolina as he tallied 5.5 sacks and nine tackles for loss.

According to Spotrac, he signed a one-year, $3.45million deal with Dallas – including $1.25million in total guarantees.

The veteran will be suiting up in his 12th season and look to add to his career tally of 58 sacks.

He is expected to make his debut on Sunday when the Cowboys face the Bears.

‘I do expect to play, but I don’t know a snap count,’ Clowney told reporters, via ESPN. ‘That’s up to the coaches.’

Dallas is 1-1 through two weeks following a dramatic overtime win over the Giants last weekend.
