Police were called the Monton Street on Monday after reports of a disturbance

Police investigating the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old boy in Moss Side have urged people not to share a video circulating online, the understands.

The footage has been uploaded to social media and is believed to show the build-up to the incident on Monton Street on Monday afternoon.

Police and paramedics were called to the area after getting reports of a disturbance involving “a number of people”, and found the teenager with stab wounds.

Another 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for questioning.

A blue forensic tent could be seen on Monton Street earlier.

A Section 60 order is still in place giving officers the power to stop and search people in the area.

Greater Manchester Police said it understood the “shock and concern” within the community, particularly for those who saw it happen.
