Sack Race Odds | Next Premier League Manager to Leave Betting – UK Times

We might only be three weeks into the new season, but that hasn’t prevented one Premier League manager from being sacked already.

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo has left his position after a breakdown in his relationship with club owner Evangelos Marinakis, resulting in the Portuguese becoming the first manager to be sacked in 2025/26.

And two more notable names could be following the former Spurs and Wolves boss soon if results don’t improve. For West Ham boss Graham Potter and Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim, nothing seems to have changed despite a pre-season to work on new things and an influx of new faces.

Both men are now a best-price of 9/4 on betting sites to be the first Premier League manager to leave this season, with Amorim’s odds tumbling from 25/1 in the aftermath of Manchester United’s shock Carabao Cup defeat to Grimsby.

Next Premier League manager to leave odds

Sack race odds: Potter failing to live up to expectations

When Potter arrived at the London Stadium, hopes were high that he could have the same impact on West Ham as he had on Brighton; after all, there was something about the project with the Hammers that finally seemed to excite the 50-year-old.

He had been out of work since leaving Chelsea in April 2023, but didn’t seem to have been short on offers having been linked with just about every job going in the interim, including the one to replace Gareth Southgate as England boss.

Things didn’t go to plan at Stamford Bridge, with Potter winning just 12 of his 31 games in charge, but it’s gone even worse at West Ham since he replaced Julen Lopetegui in January.

He has managed just six wins in his 23 games and only three from the last 15, dating back to last March.

The Hammers currently sit 16th in the Premier League table with one win and two defeats from their opening three games, and having started the season as 5/1 to go down, their Premier League relegation odds have been cut to as short as 9/4 with some betting sites.

Though that win over Forest in the last game before the international break bought Potter some time, patience will be wearing thin within the Hammers’ hierarchy, and results will need to pick up quickly if Potter is to avoid joining Nuno Espirito Santo.

Where do United go next?

Taking charge of a United side in chaos was never going to be easy for Amorim, but there’s no question it’s been a diastrous time for the Portuguese since he left Sporting Lisbon to replace Erik ten Hag in November.

He has overseen just 17 wins from his 46 games in charge, and United only managed their first win of the season on 30 August, narrowly beating Burnley 3-2 after a 97th-minute penalty from Bruno Fernandes.

The worst result of the season may have already been and gone after United were knocked out of the League Cup on penalties by Grimsby, and Premier League betting sites reacted to that embarrassing defeat by massively reducing Amorim’s odds to be the first Premier League manager of the season from 25/1 pre-kick off against Grimsby.

United fans might be fed up with what they are seeing from their side, but the question has to be, where do they go next if Amorim is not the man?

The Red Devils have seen nine different people in the dugout since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013, and two transfer windows were never going to be enough for the latest boss to make enough squad changes to turn things around.

Glasner casts doubt on his future

Crystal Palace coach Oliver Glasner and Wolves’ Vitor Pereira are a distant third and fouth in the sack race odds on football betting sites at 6/1, although the prices currently available are much shorter than they were just a few weeks ago.

Glasner was a 25/1 chance before he reportedly threatened to quit if Marc Guehi was sold to Liverpool on transfer deadline day and, after a summer in which he was linked with a move away from Selhurst Park, his position looks to have become less stable.

Wolves’ winless start to the Premier League season, coupled with a difficult summer transfer window, has seen Pereira’s odds trimmed from 20/1 to be the next manager to leave in the top flight.

Responsible gambling

Betting should only ever be considered a form of entertainment – it has not, and will never be, a surefire way to make money, no matter how much you think you know about sports.

When using gambling sites, always factor in the probability of a loss and therefore, only bet what you can afford to lose.

Make sure you use the responsible gambling tools offered by safe betting sites, such as deposit limits, reality checks, loss limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. These can stop your gambling from getting out of hand.

The same applies whether you’re using the best betting sites, casino sites, online slots UK, bingo sites or any other form of gambling.

It’s particularly important not to get carried away by free bets or casino offers, both of which may require you to spend money to be unlocked and, therefore, must be examined to determine if they are worth your time and money.

If you have gambling-related concerns, don’t be afraid to seek help. There are several UK charities and institutions that offer support, advice and information, with a few listed below:
