The restaurant has temporarily shut after the diners needed medical treatment

An Indian restaurant where eleven people were treated by ambulance crews after suffering what was thought to be a mass allergic reaction has temporarily closed.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said two of the people needed hospital treatment after the diners became unwell at the Dosa Kingss restaurant in Northenden Road in Sale, just after 12:00 BST on Saturday.

A North West Ambulance Service spokesman said 11 people were treated at the restaurant “including two who needed further care at the hospital”.

The understands the diners suffered an allergic reaction to the food which was served.

A GMP spokesman said enquiries into the incident were ongoing.

Meanwhile in a statement posted on Facebook, The Dosa Kingss said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are temporarily closed.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and truly appreciate your understanding and support. We look forward to serving you again.”
