Cam Ward was not the only one disappointed with his teammates on a late-fourth quarter drive, as his dad, Calvin Ward, looked distraught in the stands during Sunday’s loss to the Broncos.
Despite not having a perfect game to start his professional career for the Tennessee Titans, taking six sacks and losing a fumble to Denver, Ward had done enough to attempt a game-tying drive against the Broncos.
On a play with under a minute to go, Ward stepped up to find an opening in the Broncos defense and an uncovered Calvin Ridley in stride.
As Ridley outstretched his hands to catch the ball, it hit off Ridley’s gloves and fell to the turf incomplete.
Cameras first fixated on the No 1 pick from April’s NFL Draft, who looked on in frustration. Then, they panned into the crowd and found Calvin Ward.
Upon seeing the drop, Calvin gets up from his Empower Field seat, walks into the aisle and puts his head down over a railing in disgust.
Calvin Ward, Cam Ward’s father, lost it in the stands on Sunday after a dropped pass

Ward watched on as Calvin Ridley dropped a pass that could have led to a game-tying score
Ridley is the top target on the outside for the Titans, as sure-handed a wideout as they have.
According to Pro Football Focus, Tennessee receivers dropped four passes in Week 1, compared to only one for the Broncos’ wideouts.
Two plays after the Ridley drop was Ward’s fumble that handed the win to Denver.
Ward’s stat line from the loss to the Broncos paints an even harsher picture of his Titans debut, completing only 12 passes of 28 attempts for 112 yards and no touchdowns.
There are lofty expectations for Ward, with Week 1 being frustrating for the prodigy and his father in the stands.
Tennessee hosts the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, with Ward making his home debut for the team, hoping for a better result.
