Oregon State Beavers conceded one of the wildest and most baffling touchdowns imaginable during their 36-27 loss against Fresno State on Saturday.
It started when punter AJ Winsor fumbled the snap and inexplicably kicked the ball away as if he was playing soccer. But his kick wasn’t hard enough and it remained in play, sparking chaos.
Fresno State’s Jaden Carillo eventually pounced upon the loose ball and rushed it back for a barely believable touchdown with just 57 seconds on the clock before halftime.
It flipped the entire momentum of the game around – Fresno State were losing 15-14 at the time of the catastrophic mistake but went in at the interval with a lead that they would not surrender.
And as the stunned Oregon State head coach Trent Bray gave his halftime interview to CW’s Nigel Burton, he had still not cooled off after witnessing such a dreadful play by his team.
‘Yeah we’re fine. We’ve allowed ourselves to create their success,’ a clearly angry Bray said, when asked what he can say to calm his team down. ‘Both in special teams – f***ing joke – and then two long runs for touchdowns that shouldn’t exist.

Moments later, furious head coach Trent Bray swore live on TV discussing his team
‘They did nothing to harm us. We got to stop killing ourselves.’
The broadcasters immediately apologized for Bray swearing on live television but the moment only added to the drama after an all-timer of an error.
‘Well we’ll offer our apolgies for that,’ announcer Ted Robinson said. ‘Clearly emotions getting the better of the head coach.’
And things would only get worse for Bray and his team when, with Fresno holding a two-point lead with 11 seconds left on the clock, they threw a pick six.
‘This will be one of those games that if you haven’t seen is going to be very hard to explain,’ announcer Robinson had said moments before. ‘Trent Bray watching with his heart.’
The Beavers are 0-2 after Saturday’s collapse and the schedule doesn’t get any easier next Saturday, when they meet sixth-ranked Oregon Ducks.
After the game, Bray apologized for his language, saying in a statement: ‘I let my emotions get the better of me and that word should never have been said.
‘I know Beaver nation, kids and families were watching and you expect and deserve better from me.
‘I take full responsibility and will work to ensure I set the right example moving forward.’
