The witness who called 911 to report the alleged domestic violence incident involving Miami Dolphins assistant coach Ryan Crow claimed she saw him ‘choking’ a woman, according to a report.

Crow, 37, was arrested and charged with one count of domestic battery in Fort Lauderdale in the early hours of Friday morning. He pled not guilty to the charge on Tuesday.

In new 911 audio obtained by TMZ, she can be heard accusing Crow, an outside linebackers coach, of ‘choking’ a woman outside of an apartment complex before ‘slamming’ her upstairs.

‘A guy started choking his girl outside,’ the caller, who was not identified, told the 911 operator. ‘And then they went back inside upstairs to the floor and we heard him slam her.’

The witness noted that there were no weapons involved, describing the altercation as just ‘physical.’

‘He started choking her around 11:45,’ she added. ‘And then they went back upstairs and we can hear them fighting.’

The caller identified the suspect as white with a beard and around 6-foot-1 and described the victim as white, blonde and skinny.

According to reports, Fort Lauderdale Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance just after midnight on Friday.

Officers reportedly discovered that Crow and the alleged victim had been in a ‘a verbal argument about past relationships’ that ‘escalated to a physical altercation when [Crow] intentionally shoved [the woman] out of anger.’

The alleged victim was not seriously injured and refused medical treatment while Crow was arrested following an on-scene investigation.

Crow was released from jail on a $1,000 bond and cannot drink or do drugs as part of the terms of his release.

A Florida judge also mandated that Crow must undergo a substance abuse evaluation in the next 10 days and to stay away from the alleged victim.

Crow, who has been a member of the Dolphins’ coaching staff since last year, was placed on administrative leave by the franchise.

Miami head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters on Monday that Crow would remain on leave indefinitely until the matter is resolved through the court system.

‘The allegations, we take extremely serious,’ McDaniel said. ‘To be on a team, it’s a blessing that you have to have regard for things much bigger than yourself. So, rule No. 1 is to protect the team for reasons such as that, and that one was violated.’

Crow has only spent one season on McDaniel’s staff after spending six with the Tennessee Titans and is now set to miss the start of the next, which kicks off later this week.

Senior defensive assistant Sean Ryan is set to step in to cover Crow’s duties in his absence.
